The Blind Man, EAT, the Eye, the Intrusion, the Nightlanders, the Quiet (if they know about it), the Smiling Man, the Unnamed Child.

These are the last few Fossils we need names for. I'll come up with suggestions this time.

Actually, what if we merged The Unnamed Child in with The Blind Man? The Blind Man wouldn't just wipe people's memories; he'd also have the power of choosing a person and wiping everyone's memory of them. Make them unknown. Unnamed. Hell, I think that would be a good explanation for why the Genera was so interested in Liquid Len.

We might also take after Foolamancer and put The Quiet into there as well. The Quiet could be said to be The Blind Man's "domain." If you catch my drift.

OKAY, name suggestions.

Blind Man: CREMATOR (named after the NPC from the Half-Life 2 beta that "cleaned streets" of wandering civilians, wiping them forever). DOUBLETHINK (going by my proposed theory of him wiping people's memories of a person). BLANK.

Intrusion: CRAWLING/CRAWLERS. STACCATO (musical reference, notes that are played short and separated. I dunno, I think it could work in some odd way).

Nightlanders: SILHOUETTE. REFRACTION. REFLECTION. CIVILIANS.

I realize we should figure out exactly what our Fossils actually did. After all, Topography Genera is a set universe, instead of the mythos where everything is up to the writer. So we can be definite about what each Fear does. And we should; it'd make a lot of this much easier to write and come up with.

I'll help come up with more stuff after I come back from my therapist's appointment, which is in fifteen minutes. But here's some stuff to consider.

EXHIBITS:
Viceking's Graab (Step inside the maze. You could spend an eternity here.)
The Mythology of Empathy (Eight songs, nine tracks. Welcome death.)

Nobody anymore, never again (Another visual art exhibit in blog format.)
The Everyblogger Triad: 1, 2, 3 (Embrace the bad writing, give into your psyche.)
PLAN 31 (Frank Slenderman: Ace Attorney)
OH GOD THE RAPTURE IS BURNING (400,000 words. Five months. All Fears. Excess. On fifth draft, not final.)

I like the idea of combing the Blind Man and the Unnamed Child. As for the Quiet as its domain...not quite sure on that, since it's literally nothingness.

What about TABULA RASA? If not, I like CREMATOR.

CRAWLERS, definitely. STACCATO makes me think of the Choir, where we are already using a musical reference.

I like REFRACTION, although that makes me think of prisms and light. What about MONOCHROME?

I will admit, I didn't literally mean his domain was nothingness. It was more like.. if he hates you enough, he won't just wipe people's memories of you, he'll send you to absolute nothing. I mean, it fits with the theme of a lack of memory and lack of information and all that. It's sorta the extreme end of that.

Personally, I'd like him to be FT-CREMATOR and sometimes called "the Tabula Rasa." If that's alright.

CRAWLERS, good. MONOCHROME sounds perfect. I know I said I'd come up with more and I will but I'm distracted for now. xD

Curator is fine, too, actually. It may fit better: he is the Curator of his library/museum of memories. Perhaps we could refer to him as both? Curator when he's taking/giving memories, Cremator when he's erasing somebody's life?

That could work. Yeah, a sort of "two faces of the same creature" deal. And it'd obfuscate things so there'd be a time where the reader thinks there are two different Fossils and stuff.

I should talk to Jane more about what Fossils could possibly look like for this. I'm thinking back to that lovely FT-HADES portrait, and I'm trying to imagine what other Fears could look like in that kind of realistic and ghastly style. It's getting me excited. :D Maybe I should look into more artists, too. I mean, no offense to Jane; it'd just help more to have more hands, period.

I will be now figuring out the details to

"FOSSIL"-TYPE AD A DGLGMUT

In order to figure out the details to this thing, I will have to analyze the song "Ad a Dglgmut." The lyrics to the first half of the song consist entirely of just Tommy Giles growling random things. And then it goes into

QUOTE
(You can't follow me)
I thought it was strange when all this shot into my mind driving.
It's weird how this enclosed space makes me think so clearly... so free!
I wish all hours were so relaxing.
Thinking of the next noise... making up the next noise.
Scream loud, loud, loud, loud.
Static intoxication, sing this lovely violin song.
Beat this bottle on a wall.
Scream, scream, scream.
The baby cries.
Record the noise.
It all makes sense... we're capable of beauty.
Through sounds which make one cringe.
The dogs only hear us now.
For the first time tears came to my eyes while I was listening.
Noise brings so many things... make my tingling skin freeze.

Turn me on, make me laugh, shoot the can, shut the door, pour your glass,
Rape scene scream, car crash bash, black cat splat.

A silent death, a silent scream...
You can't follow me, you sing along to nothing.

I'd like to have FT-DGLGMUT consist of motifs from this. We have the obvious "chaos forming beauty," which leads me to believe Dglgmut's appearance and movement should be a complete hodgepodge of (something). Maybe a combination of lab equipment and Fossils?

...whoa what if Dglgmut is the Homunculi's vessel? o_____o And Doctor Cloud, just before he dies, does something that is later revealed to be what defeats it later on?

On a related note, it might help to come up with details to other Fossils in here. Remember, we can change Fossils all we want; this is our custom story!

For some reason, the lyrics really remind me of the Choir, with the references to static and noise.

Perhaps it's some combination of FT-PASSACAGLIA and FT-HOMUNCULI?

Ooh, now there's an interesting idea! Perhaps Passacaglia is used as a sort of.. eldritch adhesive material holding the vessel in place?

Oh god, and so that sequence of scientists staying late at night would have them constantly on edge and then when Dglgmut is coming close, they can't even figure out what they're looking at because of the hallucinations caused by Passacaglia. That works brilliantly.

SO. If we went with that, we'd have to have mentions somewhere in these early movements of the higher-ups wanting scientists in Fossil Research to experiment with FT-PASSACAGLIA. So I know what subtleties to include in this Duchess arc.

Honestly, it sounds like the kind of thing EAT would use a Fossil for if it had that much power. EAT doesn't strike me as the kind of being to have much respect for fellow eldritch abominations-- at least, not in Topography Genera.
