I am carrying out an Extended Project Qualification and at the moment the question which I am working towards is as follows: Create a short story in the style of H. P. Lovecraft.

Essentially what I am doing is reading three Lovecraft stories (At the Mountains of Madness, Dreams in the Witch-House, and The Dunwich Horror) and analysing their structure, themes, and so on. I then write my own short story based around my findings.

What I need is for a few people, two or three maybe, to read my story and respond with criticism - how I’ve stuck to the format, whether it works, what doesn’t work.

It’s finished, and can be found at the link below. Feedback as to whether it’s met the aims (a short story in Lovecraft’s style) would be most useful received before the end of this month. Thank you.
