The tapping on the other side stops. Alecto squeezes your hand, purple eyes wide with fear.
Both sides of the door are quiet for several moments. You slowly reach out your hand when a voice sounds from the other side of the door.
"Sarah? Sarah, are you there?" The voice is that of an old man, though it sounds...wrong. Wet and hollow. "Sarah it's your father. Sarah, please. I've come to take you home. It's not right for you here. It's not safe here. Sarah? Sarah, please, answer me. It's your father, Sarah. Sarah, we can't stay here. She is here, Sarah. It's too late to get help here. Please, let me take you away from here. You're not sick, Sarah. I had no right to put you here. Forgive me, Sarah. Forgive me but come with me, please. Please, Sarah. Please, it's your father."
The tapping starts again, this time more feverishly. A quick glance to Alecto confirms that neither you nor she recognize either the voice or the name 'Sarah'.
"Sarah please, why are you hiding from me? We don't have time for this, Sarah. Please. Please come with me, Sarah. We need to get out of here. It's not safe anymore. Not with her around. I'm sorry we made you come here, Sarah. I'm sorry. You're not sick you're a good girl and I'm sorry. But please, Sarah. Please, Sarah, come with me. Please. Your mother is sorry too, Sarah. Come back and we can be a family again, away from here. Please, Sarah. Please."
> Call out "There's nobody in here named Sarah. I'm sorry."
"Why are you lying to me, Sarah?" The door rattles as something finds the handle. "Why don't you want to come with me? Don't you want to be a family again, Sarah?"
The door slowly starts to open. The smell of blood and rotting meat rushes to your nostrils, and Alecto is now hiding behind you.
You see in front of you something that was probably once a man. It is naked, tall, and fish-belly white, and it looks as though something has scooped out its face and most of its brain, leaving a hollow, empty cavity in its place. Its finger and toesnails have been forcibly ripped from its body and replaced by long, rusted iron nails. It waves its hands in front of it as it moves into the room, its crudely embedded nails tapping against the floor with each step.
"Sarah. Sarah, daddy's here, Sarah." It says from somewhere within its cavernous, empty head, stepping blindly towards you and the girl. "Now we can be a family again. Please, Sarah, give your father a hug."
>Ask Alecto if she knows a "Megaera" or "Tisiphone", or any "Furies" while searching for and exit and putting as much distance between you and the tapping.
As you look through the hall, you find two un-defaced doors.
One is for Persephone.
The other is for Euterpe.
At the end of the hall is an arrow, drawn in blood, pointing around the corner.
You turn to Alecto to ask her about Furies and notice that she is trembling with fear, her dark red eyes tearing heavily. Something about this strikes you as odd...and also a bit menacing, like some forgotten tragedy is lurking at the edge of your awareness.
"I-I....I-I...I -ccan't...." She stutters. "I...I d-d-d...d-d-don't...r-remember any."
