QUOTE (proxiehunter @ Jul 9 2013, 04:06 AM)
Also this thing where I can apparently edit other users posts now that I'm a mod and the edit button is right next to quote is going to take some getting used to. Nearly edited you instead of quoting.
That took me getting used to too.
Because my break is just starting, I figured I could at least help you guys ease into being series bible writers. Y'know, help you make the pages consistent with the pages I've written and all that.
I saw your Jack of All page, alliterator-- nicely done. I edited its quotes-- here's where I'll give the technical stuff. Vanilla Fear Page Quotes are in Heading 5, bolded and italicized and quoted and aligned to the center. If the Quote Source is a blog, it is italicized. If the Quote Source is a song or a creepypasta or some otherwise short story that isn't a blog, it's put in quotation marks and left un-italicized.
Due to reasons of laziness, Notable Blog names are not italicized, but they are always credited. Unless on the Slender Man page. Don't worry, you got this one right; I'm just making the technical stuff public.
Now, to answer the question of Ten Speed. I mean, he is important to the logs and he will continue being important to A Book of Names, but his important in the logs was a lot more subtle than it'll be in the sequel. I mean, Ten Speed is the reason The Beast went suicidal in the logs. He told The Beast that the world around him is nothing more than a work of fiction, nothing's real. Which is true, but he specifically said it in such a way that The Beast would think it means he's the writer and so he can end the story by killing himself. And of course, The Beast believed his every word because Ten Speed was possessing The Catechist, who is the Fear of the truth. Ten Speed has not shown many comparisons with Jack of All yet besides manifesting in the form of a red right glove (and shaking Tiresias's hand with it as Nyarlathotep), but the sequel will be giving him more screentime and more time to be fleshed out.
...so really it could go either way. I'd put Rapture in and say (Features Ten Speed, ethereal interpretation that possesses and influences characters) but if that's not right for the page, feel free to leave it out. Or hell, you can even put A Book of Names in, giving that thing its first appearance on the series bible.

Alli, you did a great job (as always) with the Jack of All page!
I was wondering: should we consider creating a separate list for all those Fear Candidates/Unexplained Phenomena/notable concepts that aren't Fears but are used and known enough to deserve an article in the Bible?

Well the Vision hasn't appeared enough in Paranoia for me to give a description on how it was used in that. Also do you mind PMing me all the details of how the Vision appeared in your blog so I can determine if I can add it or not.

Then those sharp knife-fingers are wrapping around my chin from behind – the ‘real me’, the one watching, and she’s jerking my face towards her and whispering. Telling me, this is what I can expect. And I can prevent it, if only I had the power. I think I must’ve forced myself awake, then. But not before I got a glimpse of her face. She was beautiful. Had this glow that stays with me. And throughout all the chaos and the blood and the gore, there she was, this vision of beauty and it was so wrong it makes me sick.
